Properly typed up a README.md and updated the script to actually handle stable. Stable isn't really good right now, so config favors the canary branch for the time being.

The security concern listed in the README (commit #8fdd387e13) is regarding potential to make a file executable on a user system and then ran by the automation.

User files should be in control but the potential as a security issue shouldn't be omitted or ignored.
